Western Australia's Ningaloo coast is a pristine World Heritage-listed ocean paradise, abundant with extraordinary marine life. Its coral reef is Australia's longest fringing reef uniquely close to shore; where Lawson planned to gain his PADI Dive Master certification to compliment his marine biology studies. 'Ningaloo' was the first sea sponge artwork that he painted in this series c.2018, and later reworked in 2023.
